Thank You Jesus for allowing to serve You and my brethren. For allowing me to bear witness to Your glory in so many incidents and ways. Forgive me for the many times I lost focus on You when I compared sufferings and hardships with others. When I craved recognition for the work I had done from my peers and from others. For times I allowed myself to be overwhelmed and became petty, impatient even at times resentful.
My sweet loving Jesus, please allow me to fall deep in Your love. Let me always turn to You when it starts getting a little too difficult to bear, for I am certain You will give me rest. You will refresh and strengthen me. And when I’m ready, You will send me out to participate in Your masterplan for the world. Praise be to You O Lord my God! Amen
GOSPEL
Luke 10:38–42
Jesus entered a village where a woman whose name was Martha welcomed him. She had a sister named Mary who sat beside the Lord at his feet listening to him speak. Martha, burdened with much serving, came to him and said, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me by myself to do the serving? Tell her to help me.” The Lord said to her in reply, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and worried about many things. There is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part and it will not be taken from her.”
