Like many Lord Jesus, I often put up a front. Perhaps it started out as a coping mechanism, to avoid being hurt as well as not to expose any vulnerability which someone might later use against me. Trouble is that after a while I lost myself, as I developed and put on different personas. This progressed into living a lie for which You were no longer present in my life. Other people or things became more important. I didn’t know how to love.
Bless You and praise You O Lord my God! For true love comes from. When I turned back to You, I was cleansed and filled with Your divine love. Striving to know all about You and to emulate You, I now have genuine love for my brethren. Let me never lose my focus on You as I serve and lead others to You. Amen

Luke 11:37–41
After Jesus had spoken,
a Pharisee invited him to dine at his home. He entered and reclined at table to eat. The Pharisee was amazed to see that he did not observe the prescribed washing before the meal. The Lord said to him, “Oh you Pharisees! Although you cleanse the outside of the cup and the dish, inside you are filled with plunder and evil. You fools! Did not the maker of the outside also make the inside? But as to what is within, give alms, and behold, everything will be clean for you.”
