On Today’s Gospel

How do I heed Your gentle call to go to Your mountain O Lord my God? When I stand on my very own mountain of security built on the foundation of pride and the ways of the world.

How many disputes and wars have been fought in this world over mountains such as mine? O if we would only listen and harden not our hearts, we will surely have peace and love in this world. For in You we are made whole and shall not want.

Bless me Lord Jesus with the faith of the centurion that I may bring glory to Your name. Let my faith inspire others to grow in the knowledge of You. That You may reign in their hearts so as to be filled with Your love. And together we will strive to build Your Kingdom as we await our heavenly inheritance. Amen

GOSPEL
Matthew 8:5–11

When Jesus entered Capernaum, a centurion approached him and appealed to him, saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, suffering dreadfully.” He said to him, “I will come and cure him.” The centurion said in reply, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you enter under my roof; only say the word and my servant will be healed. For I too am a man subject to authority, with soldiers subject to me. And I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come here,’ and he comes; and to my slave, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, “Amen, I say to you, in no one in Israel have I found such faith. I say to you, many will come from the east and the west, and will recline with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob at the banquet in the Kingdom of heaven.”

Our lord does not discriminate, he welcomes anyone and heals anyone that is pure of heart and believes in him regardless of what sexual preference they have. Our Lord cured the Centurions gay partner. Glory to our Lord. We as humans discriminate but Our Lord and God does not. God does not have a problem with sexuality, that is a purely human problem that needs to be fixed. Our Pope Francis has opened his arms to the gay Christians just as our Lord would have done. The Holy Spirit is burning bright in Pope Francis and that light will guide the blind out of their hatred of others based on sexuality. God bless Pope Francis and may he restore our Lords Church back to its glory. Amen.

      Dearest brother in Christ,

We are blessed indeed with loving Popes throughout history. And in the same Spirit of our Lord our Holy Father Pope Francis indeed embraces all sinners as should we.

What is also clear is that while we embrace all sinners we are called to detest sin. Sin in this instance, the act of homosexuality.

The written Word of God was given to us for instruction and so guided by the Holy Spirit together with the magisterium and traditions of our Holy Church we are able to walk in the light of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Let Sin not blind us to the Word or to see what isn’t there.

      Love in Christ,
      Julian
