All of us have sinned one way or another but let us not dwell on the guilt and our sins but turn swiftly back to the Lord our God by repenting for them. Seeking swiftly to be reconciled with Him. For the enemy seeks to keep us bound by our guilt, and to lead us to greater sins!

With renewed minds in Christ, let us remain focused on Him and His will for us. To  go out into the world as we are called to do; to bring His healing grace, deliverance from evil and to proclaim the good news of the Kingdom of God. He will provide for all that we will ever need.

Here I am Lord send me. Amen

Ezra 9:5-9 ·

‘God has not forgotten us in our slavery’

At the evening sacrifice I, Ezra, came out of my stupor and falling on my knees, with my garment and cloak torn, I stretched out my hands to the Lord my God, and said:

‘My God, I am ashamed, I blush to lift my face to you, my God. For our crimes have increased, until they are higher than our heads, and our sin has piled up to heaven. From the days of our ancestors until now our guilt has been great; on account of our crimes we, our kings and our priests, were given into the power of the kings of other countries, given to the sword, to captivity, to pillage and to shame, as is the case today. But now, suddenly, the Lord our God by his favour has left us a remnant and granted us a refuge in his holy place; this is how our God has cheered our eyes and given us a little respite in our slavery. For we are slaves; but God has not forgotten us in our slavery; he has shown us kindness in the eyes of the kings of Persia, obtaining permission for us to rebuild the Temple of our God and restore its ruins, and he has found us safety and shelter in Judah and in Jerusalem.’

Luke 9:1-6

‘Take nothing for the journey’

Jesus called the Twelve together and gave them power and authority over all devils and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal. He said to them, ‘Take nothing for the journey: neither staff, nor haversack, nor bread, nor money; and let none of you take a spare tunic. Whatever house you enter, stay there; and when you leave, let it be from there. As for those who do not welcome you, when you leave their town shake the dust from your feet as a sign to them.’ So they set out and went from village to village proclaiming the Good News and healing everywhere.

KARDINAL JOSIP BOZANIĆ O SV. IVANU PAVLU II.
Sjećate li se onih trenutaka kada ste, uz sada svetog Ivana Pavla II., putovali u Mariju Bistricu uoči samoga čina beatifikacije i one veličanstvene mise?

Pope Benedict XVI made a powerful statement about the lack of reverence for God that is often seen in the world today, even in churches. He said that “we have lost the sense of the sacred in our churches.”
But what can we do to rediscover the sense of the sacred? Here are a few suggestions:
    1.Example of the Magi:
The Magi were wise men who traveled far to worship the infant Jesus. They prostrated themselves before him and offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. We can learn from the Magi by offering our own gifts to Jesus, such as our time, our talents, and our love.
    2.Faith in the Real Presence:
Jesus is truly present in the Eucharist. When we kneel before the Tabernacle, we are kneeling before the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. We should approach the Eucharist with reverence and awe.
    3.Show Proper Reverence:
One way to show proper reverence for God is by genuflecting when we pass before the Tabernacle. This is a physical gesture of our faith and respect.
    4.Hymns of the Angelic Doctor:
St. Thomas Aquinas wrote some of the most beautiful hymns in the Catholic Church. These hymns can help us to appreciate the beauty of God and to grow in our reverence for him.
    5.Angels and Their Mission:
The angels are constantly praising God in heaven. We can learn from the angels by praising God in our own lives, especially through prayer and worship.
Let us all strive to rediscover the sense of the sacred and to reverence God in all that we do.

The loss of the sense of sacred can partly be attributed to the social ecosystem in which the faith exists: rationalism, materialism, privatism, relativism. All these forces and more work against faith in the unseen world and in supernatural grace.

    5. Helighet realiseras i små saker, i små steg, glömmer sig själv och tittar in i evigheten.
